Newman Medical Company History
Newman Medical is the second generation of a family business that began in 1976, when Dennis and Patricia Newman founded Imex Medical Systems and introduced the Pocket-Dop Doppler. Over the next two decades, Imex grew into the leading domestic Doppler manufacturer before its 1997 acquisition by Nicolet, now part of Natus.
In 2003, the Newman family founded Summit Doppler. Spencer Newman founded Newman Medical in 2005, carrying forward the same commitment to product development and customer service.
Today, Newman Medical manufactures its full line of ABI systems and Dopplers in the USA, just outside Denver, and holds ISO 13485:2016 certification.
Newman Medical’s Mission
Newman Medical’s mission is to develop industry-leading diagnostic products and deliver them through a trusted network of distribution partners, empowering healthcare providers with exceptional tools and unparalleled customer service and support, every step of the way. Every customer relationship is built to last, whether it’s with a longtime partner or someone just discovering the product line.
Who Newman Medical Works With
Newman Medical builds equipment for the clinicians who diagnose and manage PAD: primary care providers, podiatrists, cardiologists, vascular specialists, wound care clinicians, and community health programs. Many are hospitals and clinics that need reliable, easy-to-use vascular testing without an outside diagnostic lab referral.
Newman Medical does not sell direct. Every system reaches customers through a network of authorized dealers and distributors, supported by roughly 60 field representatives across the country. Find your local Newman Medical representative.
